Are You Confident About Your Calling?

Some of you are being discouraged by demonic forces to give up on your calling and on God's promises—like Sarah was. Some of you are being motivated by those same forces to take up, or continue in, a false calling—like Hagar was. How do you know which one you are in this hour?

The Holy Spirit is hovering over the body of Christ in this season, prompting each of us to listen to His conviction and to test ourselves—as Paul urges in 2 Corinthians 13:5. This is not a season to guess. It's a season to examine, so we can each know for certain where we stand. Passing the test will help us resist the enemy's attacks. Failing it—or failing parts of it, since each of us will have different areas to examine—will show us exactly where we need to make adjustments.

The Father is calling the body of Christ into the place of dignity. But what that looks like is different depending on where you find yourself.

If you are one of those being prepared for greater things—by being taken through deeply undignifying situations in this world, so that you will step into heavenly dignity—then I want to encourage you.

Lift your head. Embrace an attitude that humbly says: "I have dignity before God, I matter to Him—not because of what I have, not because of how others treat me, and not because of how well my life is working out right now—but because I am on mission for the King of kings. He knows me, and He cares about me."

When you truly know this, it doesn't matter what He allows you to go through, or what others think of you. He knows. He cares. And He will get you through.

But if you have made mistakes—if you were not diligently on guard and allowed yourself to be misled, or if you have simply made careless choices—then this post is also for you.

Some of you have embraced callings that were not truly yours. Perhaps it was to feel special, or approved by God or man. Perhaps it came from comparing yourself to others, from feeling less valuable than those around you, from a need to feel significant, from a desire to prove a point, or from a longing to be seen and acknowledged. These are callings born out of soulish desire rather than the Spirit of God.

If this is you, I want to urge you to honestly ask yourself: Is this really what I am called to do? Do I carry the specific grace of God for this specific task? Am I the right person? And for some, the question goes even deeper: Is this even a legitimate calling? Has God called anyone to carry this particular burden?

God is calling you to let go of false dignity—which is, in reality, pride—and to let Him restore you to true dignity. To find your identity and security in Christ alone, who values you more than you can ever imagine.

This is the hour in which God is restoring His Church and preparing her for what is coming next.

The Valley of Achor as a Door of Hope

As Charmaine and I were recently praying in tongues, I knew that the time had come to write this post, as promised in her previous post, and that the Father had more He wanted to reveal.

During that time of prayer, I sensed a revelatory energy rise up out of my spirit, enlightening the eyes of my understanding in an instant. What flooded my mind was a revelation of what the Valley of Achor means in this season—something the Lord had been bringing to our attention for several years, but which we had not yet fully grasped.

In Hosea 2, God speaks of how He will discipline Israel for their idolatry, and how He will then draw her back to the land He has promised her. In verse 15, He says that He will give her "the Valley of Achor as a door of hope." To understand what this means, we need to go back to where this valley got its name.

The Sin of Achan

When Israel defeated Jericho, the Lord instructed them to set the city and everything in it apart to Him (Joshua 6:17-19; 7). All the gold, silver, bronze and iron were to be set apart for the Lord's treasury, and everything defiled—the people and their possessions—was to be devoted to destruction.

If any Israelite took for himself what had been set apart to the Lord, that person would bring trouble on all of Israel. The defilement they brought into the camp through disobedience would cause the entire camp to be devoted to destruction.

Achan disobeyed this command. His sin caused Israel's defeat at Ai. The defilement he brought into the camp had placed them under the very sentence of destruction they were meant to carry out. God then instructed the people to separate Achan from their midst and deal with him, so that his sin would be addressed and God's favour would return.

The valley where this happened was named the Valley of Achor—which means the valley of trouble—because it was the place where God brought trouble on the one who had brought trouble on Israel.

In Hosea's day, Israel's trouble was caused by idolatry. What God was saying is that He would give them the Valley of Achor—the place where the cause of their trouble is dealt with—as a door of hope back into their calling and His promises.

What God revealed to me is that in our day, in this specific season in the body of Christ, our trouble is being caused by identity wounds and identity attacks. Those with wounded identities are being used by the enemy to cause trouble for, and even to attack, those who are contending for their true callings.

In the New Covenant, through the blood of Jesus, these brothers and sisters have every opportunity to repent, to separate themselves from the trouble they have caused, and to be restored.

But if they will not—after loving correction has been attempted—God expects us, according to Matthew 18:15–17 and 1 Corinthians 5:11–13, to separate from them.

A word of caution: this does not apply to unbelievers the Lord calls us to reach, nor to every minor disagreement or mistake among believers. This applies specifically to serious and persistent deception that someone refuses to repent of, and that causes ongoing trouble to yourself and others in the body of Christ.

God Only Sows Pure Seed

Why was Israel unable to make progress in taking hold of God's promises while Achan was in their midst? And why does God give the Valley of Achor as a door of hope into those promises?

We find the answer in Hosea 2:23, after God deals with the cause of their trouble: "Then I will sow her for Myself in the earth…"

God desires to spread and multiply His people across the earth until they become a great multitude which no one can number, of all nations, tribes, peoples and tongues (Rev 7:9). But before He does that, He will first purify His people, to ensure that what is multiplied is pure.

The refinement we are going through now, is so that what we impart into others in the next season, will be pure seed. If you choose heavenly dignity in this hour, you will sow that same dignity into others in the hour that is coming.

Discerning the Spirit of Achan

There is a profound difference between being severely tested in order to be taught heavenly dignity, and being troubled—and causing trouble for others—because you have embraced a false calling.

If you are being tested and the suffering you are experiencing is the Lord's preparation—then hold on. The Valley of Achor is not your end. It is your doorway.

If you have embraced a false calling that is causing trouble for those around you—repent. And if you are walking closely with someone who persistently refuses to repent from a false calling, then, for the sake of what God wants to do, separate from them.

God cannot allow corrupted seed to spread. If there is corruption among you, He will not advance you. The spirit of Achan must be dealt with first.

Here is how to tell the difference. Achan coveted two things: the precious things dedicated to the Lord, and a Babylonian garment devoted to destruction.

The gold, silver, bronze and iron set apart for the Lord could only be stewarded by the consecrated priests. In the New Covenant, we are all priests—but this symbolism still speaks to us uniquely.

In biblical typology, gold symbolises faith. Silver, the redemption of Christ's blood. Bronze, God's judgement on sin and His refining through suffering. Iron, spiritual warfare and the labour of preparing the ground.

The precious things, like gold, given to each of us as priests represent the specific measure of faith, gift and calling God has given us individually (Rom 12:3). Your priesthood isn't total—it operates only in the specific gifts God has given you. Outside those gifts, you're an ordinary citizen of the Kingdom, not a priest. Meaning you can only steward the measure you were given, not the measure of others.

The spirit of Achan desires the glorious things of a calling without having been purified and prepared through suffering and warfare for that calling, which is precisely what bronze and iron represent. Notice what Achan did not take: he took no bronze and no iron. He wanted the gold and the silver—the glory and the redemption story—without the preparation those other metals represent.

The spirit of Achan will copy another person's story and attempt to function in their calling, without having had to endure what they endured in order to be prepared for it. This is important for both sides of this conversation:

If you are being prepared—the bronze and iron in your story are not punishment. They are consecration. They are what qualifies you for what is coming.

If you have been trying to function in someone else's calling—ask yourself honestly: have you walked the road that prepared them for it? If not, what you are carrying is taken gold without the bronze to prove that it belongs to you.

But do not be deceived by the appearance of progress either. Not everything that moves forward is being advanced by God. Ask yourself: who feels safe around me? If it is those who are themselves deceived or causing trouble, and they are not being confronted and called toward transformation, that is worth introspection.

The Babylonian Garment — Coming Under a Spirit of Confusion

Along with the precious things, Achan took a Babylonian garment. Babylon means confusion. When you try to function in someone else's calling, or a completely false calling, a false identity and a cloak of confusion inevitably come with it.

This is what the Babylonian garment represents: the false mantle a person puts on when they cannot REST in who they are IN CHRIST. When insecurity drives them to reach for the apparent security and recognition of someone else's calling, or even to take up a burden God never assigned to anyone.

In that place, you put on the Babylonian garment—and with it comes confusion, and eventually strong delusion, because you no longer love the truth (2 Thes 2:10–11): the truth of who you are in Christ, the truth of what He made you, the truth that Romans 12:3 speaks of when it says, "Do not think of yourself more highly than you ought to."

In Zechariah 13, it is prophesied that a fountain of cleansing will open up and false prophets will realise that they have operated in a false identity.

“But he will say, ‘I am no prophet, I am a farmer; for a man taught me to keep cattle from my youth.’ And one will say to him, ‘What are these wounds between your arms?’ Then he will answer, ‘Those with which I was wounded in the house of my friends.’”

Zechariah 13:5-6

My prayer is that those who are deceived will come to accept their true identity and that they will realise that they were wounded by the loving correction of friends, not by being stabbed in the back by an enemy. As Proverbs 27:6 also affirm: “Faithful are the wounds of a friend, But the kisses of an enemy are deceitful.”

God is calling the body of Christ—both those being prepared and those who have wandered—into a place of true dignity.

Not the dignity of title or calling or recognition, but the cloak of dignity He places on those who have come to rest, humbly and securely, in what He made them to be.

Ishmael is Birthed Quickly; Isaac Takes Time

One of the most practical ways to discern whether something is truly from the Lord—or whether it is the spirit of Achan reaching for what does not belong to it—is this: How quickly did it come?

If you or someone you journey with received "a fresh revelation" or "a confirming sign" recently and immediately began moving to make it happen, be careful. It is either a genuine calling being pushed prematurely in the flesh, a misunderstanding of your role in someone else's calling, or a false calling altogether. The spirit of Achan can even produce false signs to validate what it is pursuing.

God's Spirit takes time:

    • Abraham and Sarah waited 25 years for Isaac.

    • Joseph waited 13 years in slavery and prison before his dream became reality.

    • Moses spent 40 years as a shepherd in the wilderness before leading Israel out of Egypt.

    • David waited approximately 15 years from his anointing before he was crowned king.

    • Paul spent roughly 14 years in preparation before his first apostolic mission.

If you are in a long season of waiting and preparation, I want to say to you clearly: do not give up. This is not abandonment. This is consecration.

And if you have reached for something prematurely—if you recognise Achan's garment on your own shoulders—it is not too late. Lay it down. There is a door of hope waiting for you on the other side of that valley.

Don't Give Up

Even if you have made mistakes, all is not lost. God is able to work all things together for good for those who love Him and are called according to His purpose (Rom 8:28). Whether you are learning from your own mistakes, or whether you are learning endurance through suffering, God already knew what would happen—and He has already worked it into His plan.

Lift your head. Step up into heavenly dignity. And don't give up.

The Bride is Being Expanded! — Part 2: From Breaking to Healing to Expansion

In part one, I shared what I was sensing prophetically this Passover season—that the Bride is being expanded, and that God is giving her greater influence, capacity, and authority. I hinted at the end of that post that something significant was happening in real time as I wrote. This is the full story.

The following post is lengthy—take your time to read and internalise it. I pray it encourages and strengthens you in your own walk with your heavenly Bridegroom. May you see in it a story far bigger than ours—one God is telling through this sequence of events.

The Day We Were Cut to the Heart

On the 25th of December 2025, an interesting event took place in our home. It was a morning filled with sorrow—we had just received news of the passing of our beloved sister in Christ. Heidi Mitchell was a true example of a living sacrifice—someone who followed the Lamb in radical obedience.

She set such an example of loving and steadfast endurance in the face of incredible difficulty. Her life was a seed for many to follow in her footsteps. While my husband and I were processing her devastating loss, our eldest son came to sit next to me on the bed and played with my wedding ring on my finger. I got a bit annoyed with him, so I took the ring off and placed it on the bed. Our son took the ring and left the room. A while later, he came back and said that it was stuck on his finger. I didn’t pay much attention to it and told him I would help him in a while. After a few minutes, he returned again, in much distress, with his finger badly swollen.

We were desperately attempting to remove the ring–we tried everything you can possibly think of, but the ring remained stuck. After more than an hour of struggling, our son was in a lot of pain. My husband suggested cutting the ring, but I refused—I was adamant I could get it off. After one last attempt, I sensed the Holy Spirit clearly saying to me, “you need to cut the ring.” I then gave in and told my husband to cut it.

At that moment, he made a comment that hit me between the eyes. He said, “Sometimes we need to be broken, to receive the promises of God.”  As he left to cut the ring, I sensed something happening prophetically in the spirit.  I felt that once the ring was cut, it would be expanded when repaired.

I could feel a strong link between Heidi’s passing and the ring being cut on that very day. Her loss felt like a deep cut to our hearts, as if something precious had been taken from us, and that the ring was symbolic of that loss. My husband's words echoed in my spirit, “You need to be broken, to receive the promises of God.”

Called to a Prophetic Lifestyle

Early on in our walk with Jesus, He revealed to us that we were called to live a prophetic lifestyle. That He would use our lives to display deeper prophetic meaning and mysteries for the sake of His kingdom.

Scripture is full of examples where the Lord communicated through prophetic signs and prophetic actions.  After Saul tore Samuel’s garment, Samuel stated that God would, in like manner, tear the Kingdom away from Saul (1 Sam 15:27-28). Through this, we see that God, by His sovereign hand, used a prophetic sign to demonstrate what would later take place exactly as Samuel declared. God still uses prophetic signs to speak to His people.

The Lord often speaks to people called to a prophetic lifestyle in this manner. We came to understand that these events in our lives are not random, but God is using them as symbols and signs to show us the counsel of His will. He is not merely showing us things—they actually come to fulfilment, just as foreshadowed. God reveals His sovereign power through these prophetic signs! This is something that deeply excites me.

More than Just a Ring

In order to understand the incredible prophetic significance of the ring, I want to share its backstory with you.

When we made the ring fifteen years ago, it was a complete failure at first—it simply didn't look the way it was meant to. During the time we planned our wedding, the Lord gave me several significant dreams, revealing to us that our wedding was a prophetic event and that He would use it to speak to us. There are many details that I cannot share now. But in that season, we were very intentional about everything that happened around our wedding, using it as a tool of intercession for the Bride of Christ, praying that she would prepare herself for the wedding of the Lamb.

So, when the ring flopped, we knew something else was happening in the spiritual realm. As we sought the Lord earnestly on this matter, He revealed to us that my ring was symbolic of His bride. She doesn’t look the way she ought to look, the way He desires for her to look. Man thinks they know what God wants, and we build Him a church according to our understanding and present it to Him. This, often, is not according to His heart's desire.

So, we had to remake the ring. The second time, we had a designer sketch it exactly to scale, symbolising the pattern of God’s Ekklēsia “According to all that I am showing you—the pattern of the tabernacle and the pattern of all its furnishings—you must make it exactly so” Exodus 25:9 NET.

But the ring kept flopping, to our great frustration, as I was eager to have my ring. But I sensed the Lord saying that His bride is not ready, and He is putting her back into the fire. I realised that I should stop praying for my ring, but pray for the bride instead. When I asked the Lord when I will have my ring as I was quite worried that I won’t have my ring on our wedding day, I felt Him asking me, “When do you think My bride will be ready?” on which I answered Him “probably just before You return Lord” I sensed Him respond, “Yes, so you will get your ring just before the wedding!”

Exactly seven days before our wedding, we received the ring!

In light of this background, the moment the ring was cut, I knew another prophetic story was unfolding. Something significant is happening with the Bride of Christ in this hour.

The Breaking That Makes Room

The remnant bride has been facing seasons of intense hardship for the past few years—tests and trials on a whole new level. We came face to face with our giants, and many even endured betrayal by fellow brethren.

God has been preparing us for expansion. This doesn’t come easy. It doesn’t come cheap. The process of preparation has broken us. Many feel lost in the transition and are still hanging by a thread.  Waiting. Anticipating the change to come.

What has been slowly built into us is character. The character and nature of Jesus. Without this, we would not be able to steward the responsibility of the expansion. Through the cutting, the Lord was making room for the new. Making room for His Kingdom to come into our lives–unlike what we have experienced before.

The Passover Confirmation

After the ring was cut, I sensed the Lord leading me not to fix it right away, but to allow the process to unfold in the spiritual realm as we walked it out in the natural. I obeyed and knew that He would clearly instruct me when it was the right time.

One morning, about two months after the ring was cut, I had a sudden and intense longing to wear my ring. I felt the Holy Spirit prompting me that it is time to repair it. So, I took the ring in on the 31st of March, just before Passover, not knowing how long it would take to be repaired. We prayed over the process, knowing it was deeply symbolic.

The next day, on the 1st of April, the Holy Spirit urged me to write the blog post about the expansion of the bride (part 1, which I referred to). Then, on the second of April—Passover on the Hebrew calendar—I felt an urgency to finish the blog post. I sensed the word about expansion needed to be released that day, and I laboured through it with three children playing around me!

Our children were spiritually tuned in that day. They kept commenting on the crucifixion of Jesus, since we had celebrated the Passover meal the night before. While I wrote, I quietly wondered in the back of my mind whether something was happening with the ring. But I yielded my thoughts and curiosity, knowing Jesus was in control. I was focused on finishing the word on expansion, sensing something big was shifting spiritually during Passover.

I finished writing at about 14:30 and emailed the blog to my husband for him to check the word. At 3 o’clock, our son Judah announced that Jesus just breathed out his last breath 2000 years ago. We know that it wasn’t the exact time, as the time zones differ in Israel, but I think you can still appreciate the symbolic value in all of this. Then, about 5 minutes after 3h, my phone rang. The goldsmith told me that he had just finished my ring a few minutes ago, and that it was ready for collection.

The timing struck me.

He had just finished.

Around 3 o’clock.

On Passover.

I felt the weight of what happened in the spiritual realm. I ran to my husband, and tears were streaming down my face.

On Passover, the symbolic expansion of the bride took place.  In real time, while I was writing about the expansion, it was happening!

Jesus has announced a new season! The bride is being expanded.

Just as I wrote in part one, He is giving her greater influence, capacity, and authority—and what she has been labouring for, for so long, is coming to pass soon.

Things are Shifting

Does this mean things will immediately get easier? Not necessarily. But the purpose of the cutting and the breaking has been revealed. The new season has been announced. We can take heart and remain hopeful in Him.

“Now hope does not disappoint, because the love of God has been poured out in our hearts by the Holy Spirit who was given to us.”

— Romans 5:5 —

So, take heart, weary Bride, because hope does not disappoint!

The expansion has taken place, and soon it will begin to manifest in our lives.

The Healing of the Bride

Before you can enter the season of resurrection, you need to heal!

This is such a crucial part of the journey! We cannot skip this process with the Holy Spirit in this season. The cutting that took place in the past seasons has left many feeling disoriented and in pain. We need to face what we went through and process it with the Holy Spirit.

Whatever remains undealt with will become a foothold for trauma—and those are precisely the areas the enemy will target in the future.

On the fifth of April, the morning of resurrection Sunday, our family did a prophetic event where my husband gave me the ring, and we prophetically declared the expansion of the bride in the spiritual realm.

It was a morning filled with great joy, and it was precious to witness our three children's exuberant delight throughout! We were so blessed by their childlike faith, but also by the fact that we could see that their spirits understood what was taking place.

But moments before my husband gave me the ring, our eldest son was suddenly very emotional. He disengaged and sat down on the couch. The traumatic event of the day that the ring was stuck on his finger suddenly surfaced.

In that moment, we clearly sensed the Holy Spirit saying, stop. We obeyed and took the time to deal with the emotions that our son was facing. My husband sat beside him on the couch and gently helped him process his feelings.

Yes, it took time and may have looked like a distraction—but it was not.

Healing is a crucial part of the expansion. We cannot step into the promises while we are still bound and traumatised by the events of the past.

Beloved Bride, Don’t Just Move On. Stop! Allow Yourself To Heal.

The new season of expansion will be beautiful, it will be fruitful, but first, take a moment and sit down on the couch next to Jesus and heal. He is waiting.

“But for you who fear My name, the Sun of Righteousness will rise with healing in His wings.”

— Malachi 4:2 —

This Passover, the Bride is Being Expanded!

There has been a significant build-up in the spirit over the past few months. I have been sensing a great release on the way this Passover season. The spiritual atmosphere has been heavily pregnant, and I sense the waters are about to break.

The Bride is being prepared for something she has not yet seen.

Two nights ago, as our family was praying, we felt led to pray for the release of the breaker anointing. The breaker anointing of Jesus breaks the yokes and strongholds standing in the way of His victory for His people. I keep hearing this scripture in my spirit:

"The kingdom of God has come near." — Mark 1:15

Passover is known to be a season of fulfilment and new beginnings. In the book of Exodus, God instructed the Israelites to keep the feast of Passover, and declared that the month in which they kept it would become the biblical new year. (Exodus 12:1)

Again, we see in the book of Joshua that shortly after they observed the Passover, they took possession of the promised land by conquering Jericho. (Joshua 5:10)

Jesus was the perfect Passover lamb, and following His death and resurrection, a new era began. He was raised on the first day of a new week—or the eighth day, depending on how you look at it—which in Hebrew thought has always symbolised new beginnings, the start of a new cycle beyond the complete.

Passover is therefore a significant marker in the spiritual realm, defined by fulfilment, the breakthrough of the torn veil, resurrection, and new beginnings.

A Season of Circumcision of the Heart

Yet before every new beginning comes a cutting away—and this season has been no different.

This season, leading up to Passover, has been filled with various tests and trials—on a higher level and with increased intensity. It is designed to test the faithfulness of the Bride and to build endurance into her. God is purifying His Bride. He is unveiling the areas of her life that have not yet been subjected to the refiner's fire. He has been circumcising our hearts.

This season has required deep surrender and radical faith in the very areas of our lives we always hoped God would never test. The areas where we said, "Just not this, Lord." The areas we wanted to preserve out of fear. Those are the very places where God desires surrender, because He wants to show us that we can trust Him—especially there.

The purpose of this season of intense testing is so that God's sovereignty and glory can be revealed through our lives—especially in those very areas we never wanted to allow Him into, because we were too afraid. In the testing, God is showing up in those places and showing that He is God. Much like Elijah on Mount Carmel, God has been calling His people to a moment of public, costly obedience—where everything is on the line, and only He can deliver. Those who said yes to that call are now entering their showdown.

The Bride is not a passive observer in this hour—she is being called to her own Mount Carmel moment, and those who answered that call are now entering their season of expansion.

Giving Birth to the Overcomers!

Those who have faithfully endured the circumcision of the heart and showed unwavering faith in the midst of extreme difficulties are now having their obstacles removed in the spirit. You are attaining a new level of victory, and God is expanding you. This is what it was all about—expansion. God is expanding you and entrusting you with what you have been prepared for.

I want to make something clear: being faithful does not mean being strong. It simply means you keep showing up. You keep believing and refuse to give up—even when you feel utterly weak. It is the realisation that it is not on us; it is on Him. It is simply believing that He is going to do it.

In this birthing season of expansion, keep your eyes on Jesus. Stay focused. A woman in labour does not lose focus and return to the normal activities of life—she simply can't. One thing is required of her, and that is to give birth to new life. Do not let the enemy lure you out of the birthing room and distract you with the cares and demands of this world. Keep your eyes on Jesus and focus on the assignment.

The Bride who endured the refining is now being entrusted with greater influence, capacity, authority, and new assignments. This is what she was being prepared for.

A Trumpet call to enter the Ark on the Feast of Trumpets

It has been an intense season for many in the body of Christ. We had to endure intense fires of tests and trials.

Not only did the Lord test us, He also brought us to a place of complete death to self. The cross each of us had to pick up was tailor made for each individual. Each of us had to struggle through different things, but it served the same purpose: The seeds had to fall to the ground and die. We had to abandon all trust in ourselves. We had to surrender to the point that we wondered if we would ever rise again.

"Most assuredly, I say to you, unless a grain of wheat falls into the ground and dies, it remains alone; but if it dies, it produces much grain." ~ John 12:24

"For we do not want you to be ignorant, brethren, of our trouble which came to us in Asia: that we were burdened beyond measure, above strength, so that we despaired even of life. Yes, we had the sentence of death in ourselves, that we should not trust in ourselves but in God who raises the dead, who delivered us from so great a death, and does deliver us; in whom we trust that He will still deliver us." ~ 2 Cor 1:8-10

The season is slowly shifting. Seeds are sprouting again. We are still tired, some still carrying wounds from the past, unsure of what this new season will bring. But we are rising, God is raising us from the dead.

We need to allow Him to completely heal our wounds even if we don't have answers. Trusting that He is resurrecting something new in us: A pure seed for a pure harvest.

We are now in a transition season of healing. I strongly sense that we should not skip our healing process. You should not be too quick to try to enter the new season. You should allow God to heal you first, as He allowed you to be wounded for a season:

"And you have forgotten the exhortation which speaks to you as to sons: “My son, do not despise the chastening of the Lord, Nor be discouraged when you are rebuked by Him; For whom the Lord loves He chastens, And scourges every son whom He receives."

"Now no chastening seems to be joyful for the present, but painful; nevertheless, afterward it yields the peaceable fruit of righteousness to those who have been trained by it." ~ Hebrews 12:5-7, 11

Encountering the God of Comfort

God is a loving Father, who wants to bind up our wounds and restore us. He does not take pleasure in our suffering but He loves us enough to train us through suffering, for our own good. We need to run to the God of comfort and mercy. We need to yield our woundedness to Him, knowing that He alone is able to heal us. If we fail to do this, we might end up becoming bitter. The following verses in Hebrews 12, after speaking about God's discipline says:

"Therefore strengthen the hands which hang down, and the feeble knees, and make straight paths for your feet, so that what is lame may not be dislocated, but rather be healed.

Pursue peace with all people, and holiness, without which no one will see the Lord: looking carefully lest anyone fall short of the grace of God; lest any root of bitterness springing up cause trouble, and by this many become defiled" ~ Hebrews 12:12-15

The context of these verses is significant. Often God reveals what is still in our hearts through others that mistreat or disappoint us. If we do not forgive and let our hearts be healed, we will end up in enmity and bitterness.

If we do not draw on the grace of God to overcome these things a root of bitterness can spring up and cause our bitterness to spread and defile many.

Hebrews 12 ends with verses 28 and 29: "Therefore, since we are receiving a kingdom which cannot be shaken, let us have grace, by which we may serve God acceptably with reverence and godly fear. For our God is a consuming fire."

Allow the Lord to heal you by drawing on His comfort and grace so that you can steward what has been given to you and serve Him acceptably.

A call to enter the Ark of His Presence.

I want to share a dream I received as a warning for the body of Christ. In the dream many believers were swimming in murky waters. The water was not very deep. We were careless and not aware of any danger.

The children also swam in the water, quite a distance away from us. Then, suddenly, the water levels rose, and it became very stormy. No one was prepared for this and as a result, some of the children drowned. It was too late and nothing could be done.

The murky waters are symbolic of unstable and nonessential doctrines, opinions of man causing confusion and judgments we have towards other believers. It is also symbolic of the murky waters of bitterness, unforgiveness and an unwillingness to try and understand the journeys others are on. It also points to the woundedness the members Christ's body have caused one another.

The children that drowned are part of our inheritance, the visions and assignments the Lord gave us to steward. We acted carelessly and didn't guard and watch over what God entrusted us with. Instead we decided to stay in the murky waters of our disappointments with others. Most of our inheritance is found in community with others. But we allowed the inheritance of community to be swept away because we cannot get over our silly differences, opinions and disappointments.

While I shared this dream with friends, my son came to show me a picture he was busy drawing. He said, 'Mommy you are talking about water and look, I am busy drawing Noah's ark.'

The moment he said this I felt the Lord telling me, 'You are not supposed to be in the murky waters, you are supposed to be in My Ark.'

We need to enter into Christ the Ark of God's presence and safety! We need to abide in Him - the Spirit of Truth, and not in the murky waters of unstable nonessential doctrines and opinions causing confusion and division in the body of Christ. If we stay there, the waters will rise, and drown what God has entrusted to us. It will cause us to lose our focus on Jesus, the High Priest and Head of the Body.

In the Ark of His presence, our perspective is changed as He heals our wounds and silences our turbulent hearts. We will no longer be tossed to and fro by every wind of doctrine and allow bitterness to enter our hearts. In His presence our hearts will be established in grace, and as we repent we will be restored to love and in essential truth.

Let us take heed of this warning and listen to the trumpet call and enter into the Ark!

"14 that we should no longer be children, tossed to and fro and carried about with every wind of doctrine, by the trickery of men, in the cunning craftiness of deceitful plotting, 15 but, speaking the truth in love, may grow up in all things into Him who is the head—Christ— 16 from whom the whole body, joined and knit together by what every joint supplies, according to the effective working by which every part does its share, causes growth of the body for the edifying of itself in love." ~ Ephesians 4:14-16

Prophetic Dream – Israel and Lebanon

We would like to share a dream Charmaine had early Saturday (21/09) morning about Israel and Lebanon. Please read and pray with us into it, as the Spirit leads.

In the dream me and Gideon were visiting Israel. It was our last day there and I felt an urgency that we have an assignment that we need to do for the Lord. It is interesting that in reality, yesterday was also the day before the attacks between Lebanon and Israel.

In the dream, as Gideon and I walked through the streets and public plains we saw a red blanket, and Gideon said we must come back and spread it out and set it up as a display for the people. I then cut lots of small pieces of paper and wrote on them: on the one side Isaiah 53 (the prophecy of the crucifixion of Jesus), and on the other side John 3:16. I felt led to spread them in the streets so that people could pick it up and read.

We then went to a hilltop, and two policemen (authorities symbolising angelic authorities) escorted us to the top. The hill was overlooking Lebanon. As we got on top we saw two groups of people with children amongst them. They were dressed in dark clothes.

They observed us to see who we were and what we were doing. They took out shofars and started blowing them. I knew they were of the enemies camp. They were mocking us. The second group also took their shofars out and started to blow but the sound came out very flat and sounded terrible. This symbolises that one group's call for battle is clear but the other group's is unclear. "If, for example, the trumpet makes an unclear sound, who will get ready for battle?" - 1 Cor 14:8. One group will get ready for battle, but the other will be confused as to what to do.

Gideon then took out his shofar and the sound came out perfectly and resonated in the heavens. This means that God's prayer warriors are now clearly hearing the call to start praying.

The people in the opposing groups had a mocking spirit, and I told Gideon, let's forget about them and focus on our assignment. We started prophesying over the valleys of Lebanon.

The last scene of the dream was again in a public plain in Israel, I felt an urgency to share the gospel. I saw a beautiful little girl, about 8 years of age and told her about the Messiah. I shared the whole story with her about Jesus and the prophecies about the old testament that was fulfilled in Him. She started to grasp it and I could see the excitement in her eyes.

I knew her parents were on their way and had an urgency to finish and explained the death and resurrection of Christ, and that everyone who called on His name will be saved. At that moment her parents arrived. She told them I told her the most beautiful story.

I went to fold up my red picnic blanket sensing the parents were angry at me. Then they came towards me and all of a sudden their faces changed into demonic manifestations and they looked like angry clowns.

Interpretation
I believe we as the ecclesia have an important assignment in this hour concerning the people of Israel. As the hour is getting darker and darker, the good news about the Messiah needs to spread!

Lots of Muslims and Jews are operating in a mocking spirit, mocking the Christian faith, blinded by their own traditions and hardened hearts. However, we need to spread the Word of God and partner with the Lord to lay a table for His word in the presence of those who oppose the gospel (Psalm 23). We need to display the goodness of God's word and the joy of eating at His table. The red blanket is symbolic of the redeeming work of Christ's blood which is the basis on which people are invited to come and taste of the goodness of God and His gospel. We need to display God's redeeming work publicly.

The mocking spirits are trying to release their sound, but it will fail. We need to counter the false sound by focusing on Jesus, prophesying His Word over the current situation in the middle east.

I believe the young girl with whom I shared the gospel represents the upcoming generation, whose hearts will soften towards the gospel. However, a mocking spirit will try to intimidate against the truth, and try to choke out the seed of the gospel.

Ultimately it's not about Israel being protected from attack as much as it is about Israel turning to their Messiah when they face threats and troubles. Yes, let's pray for protection, not for the sake of protection, but so that Jews and Muslims will get saved.

May God preserve lives so that they will have a chance to meet their saviour and trust Him for their lives.

Conflict is an opportunity for people to get saved. People rarely seek God when things are comfortable.

May the sound go out to call God's people to pray and spread His word in this hour.

Resurrection is COMING!

This morning I woke up with the song in my spirit, 'Forever' by Kari Jobe. A large part of the song is about death that has been defeated, and the glorious resurrection of Jesus Christ.

As my husband and I played the song later this morning, I sensed how God is taking the body of Christ through a deep cleansing in this season. I saw us going through a waterfall as we are being washed by the water of His word.

This has been an extremely tough season for many believers. We have been tested and tried, to a point where it almost feels like there is nothing left. We wonder, "will this season ever come to an end? When will we see daybreak again?" It feels like everything has come to death. We find ourselves in the valley of despair, saying: "Our bones are dry, our hope is lost, and we ourselves are cut off!" (Ezekiel 37:11)”

While in worship, I felt the Spirit saying, 'You are about to enter the season of resurrection! Everything that you felt has died, that seems completely hopeless, I will resurrect.' Then I saw a dark valley, with many precious pioneers stuck in the darkness. I could sense their deep struggle, feeling overwhelmed and desperate to move out of this place.

I repeatedly declared the word 'resurrection' over them. Then the Spirit breathed over them. The dry bones were raised up to be an exceedingly great army.

"’Behold, O My people, I will open your graves and cause you to come up from your graves, and bring you into the land of Israel … I will put My Spirit in you, and you shall live, and I will place you in your own land. Then you shall know that I, the Lord, have spoken it and performed it,’ says the Lord (Ezekiel 37: 12 -14)".

Do Not Abandon the Vision!

Last night I dreamt of our daughter Bethany. Her name is symbolic of the prophetic vision of the community life amongst believers that God wants.

In the dream her shoes were very dirty, it was covered in excrement. I put it in a bag and took it outside. I decided it was too big of a mess to clean up and threw it in the bin. I immediately regretted it, thinking I cannot just throw it away. I decided to rather wash it, even though I knew it would be an unpleasant experience.

Her shoes symbolize walking out the prophetic vision of 'community' the Lord has given us. But I sense a broader application to everyone that needs to walk out the vision the Lord has given to them.

Through this difficult season, these shoes have become very dirty. We think, "it feels like such a mess that there is no way to clean it. It's better just to cast it away. "

God is warning us not to cast away the vision just because things look messy. The shoes are not broken, they are just dirty. God will give us the grace to clean it up.

God is currently taking us through the waterfall of His cleansing. To purify and clarify everything that got muddied in this season.

He Will Resurrect the Vision.
